A Wireless ECG Monitoring and Analysis System Using the IoT Cloud

A portable electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring system is essential for elderly and remote patients who are not able to visit the hospital regularly. The connects a patient his/her doctor through an Internet of Things (IoT) cloud server that provides all information needed diagnose heart diseases. Patients use ECG device collect upload regarding their current medical situation via Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol server. IoT performs further analysis can be useful both patient. Moreover, proposed has alert mechanism sends notifications when certain threshold reached. accepts two types input data: real-time data collected by benchmark from PhysioNet ECG-ID database. framework four components: input, embedded device, server, interface. Herein, experiments conducted using data. results show reliable trusted might reduce number required visits. comparison between several techniques previously reported in literature conducted. Finally, implementation presented illustrate its operation.
